Lodge Awards

Every Lodge of Mark Master Masons in the Province of Durham currently holds the MBF honorific of Grand Patron Gold. As part of the Durham 2029 MBF Festival, we have tasked each Lodge to achieve the next honorific; that of Grand Patron Diamond.

To achieve this, each Lodge would need to raise £5000 since achieving the Gold award. Each Lodge is encouraged to raise charitable funds towards the Grand Patron Diamond collarette over the course of the Festival. All monies raised counts towards the 2029 Festival and will be credited against the Lodge. Any donations to the Mark Benevolent Fund in the name of the Lodge since achieving Grand Patron Gold status will count towards the Lodge's £5000 target.

To encourage the Lodges along the way, we have created five milestones at £1000 intervals, reaching each will result in the Lodge being presented with a certificate and a pin badge for the Lodge Charity Steward to proudly wear.

If the Lodge donates:

  • £1000, the Lodge achieves Durham 2029 MBF Festival BRONZE status.

  • £2000, the Lodge achieves Durham 2029 MBF Festival SILVER status.

  • £3000, the Lodge achieves Durham 2029 MBF Festival GOLD status.

  • £4000, the Lodge achieves Durham 2029 MBF Festival PLATINUM status.

  • £5000, the Lodge has donated sufficiently to qualify for the MBF GRAND PATRON DIAMOND collarette.

Qualifying Lodges may display the relevant status artwork, as shown below, on their Lodge summons and correspondence, and are encouraged to do so.
